Face to Face Friday!

So I always just focused on low carb eating, I never worked out, walked, ran pretty much never did any kind of movements lol. I never did sports in school, I was a band geek and liked it! Last year I started lifting and walking and even tried jogging in between my power walks and loved it! I am still learning the importance of the muscle GAIN and not the LOSS on the scale. The pictures keep me going, the feeling of actually having muscles, being able to RUN for 5 minutes straight! yes may not be a lot to some but from someone who couldn’t run for 1 minute it means a lot!

Lately I have been focusing on the weights and not the cardio. I do try to walk at least a half hour 3 times a week I lift in my home using dumbbells 6 days a week if not 7. I have noticed not only a change it what I can lift but in my everyday activities. I feel the muscle when I walk, I see the definition in my arms, even grocery shopping picking up cases of water feels different! I am so very proud at how far I have come.

I will continue to lift and push myself. I am incorporating good grains and good carbs to my meals to help my muscles recoup after a workout ,I am slowly adding more weights and adding more reps and most of all I am NOT worrying about the scale! Don’t give up make sure to get moving! inches matter! the way your clothes fit matter! be positive!
