Crispy Chips

This weekend is Labor Day weekend 2021! We have people coming over for a cookout and I made this awesome taco dip BUT I wanted low carb chips. I got out my many packs of Mr. Tortilla one carb tortillas, cut them into fours or six triangles and fried them up in avocado oil! OMG can I say DELISH so THIN so CRISPY so CRUNCHY so PERFECT!

I drained the chips on a paper towel lined plate and sprinkled some pink salt on them while they were hot. Even Joe said he loves these!! I am so glad I won some from Mr. Tortilla I have about 8 bags and I know I will have to make more chips later today lol. I prefer to use Avocado oil for taste and it is healthy for you and it also can withstand the high heat. You can use other oil though so no worries if you do NOT have any.

You do NOT need a lot of oil either just about an inch and toss the chips around as they cook. You will begin to see the edges and underneath lightly brown. Once you start frying in batches they cook up fairly quickly so keep an eye and don’t burn them! I am now super excited for this picnic and some salsa!
