Do you have a gym membership? Do you have a workout buddy? Do you do your workouts at home? I workout at home with my husband and daughter. We have dumbbells and a flat bench and an incline bench. My husband has shown me different moves and toning workouts with the weights. He is my support and my rock on those days where the scale doesn’t move or even goes up he assures me what I am doing is awesome and reminds me to look at my progress pics and my weight lifting tracker I made! How strong I am now compared to when I started this in January!
Today for example I did 100 push ups! Real ones too! not knee girlie ones! I have doubled my weights and added reps and new exercises! I am learning to not rely on the scale and not to judge myself in the mirror. Yes I have mom belly gut BUT it is not nearly as bad as it was when I started this. Mind you no weight has been lost! Actually went up a little BUT muscle is more dense than fat and lays differently therefore the mass of the muscle can cause the scale to stay the same or rise without weight loss. ( I am learning to accept that still lol )
Having him as a workout buddy and just that support saying “you are doing such a great job, and I am so proud of you”, or “DAAAMMNNNN look at you curling 30 pounders.” he doesn’t mind sneaking in my pictures either lol… No matter who your support wing man or woman is it helps and makes such a huge difference physically, emotionally and mentally. I will be your support! My 93,000 members on my Facebook page will be your support! Don’t give up, don’t get down on yourself as I have one too many times. Be proud of the progress, be proud of how you feel, be proud what you have accomplished and what you still will accomplish! Now off for a shower since we have a birthday party at a roller rink today! That will be my cardio.
